Introducing: Oris Divers Sixty Five "Cotton Candy"

Now, we all are aware of the success of a recent release from "The Crown" where they offered up a reimagining of the infamous Stella Dials of the 70's. These unsurprisingly have sold like hot cakes, and I think it has made brands realise that they can venture outside the usual white, black and blue dials, and people will be very interested in buying.

This bandwagon (which I must admit is starting to get quite full) has now been boarded by Oris, who have this week released a range of three colourful dials for the Divers Sixty Five range. The watch comes in a 38mm bronze case with matching bracelet, the same overall package as the Holstein Edition released last year. However the difference here is the dials. It comes available in three pastel colours: sky blue, wild green or my personal favourite, lipstick pink.

As I mentioned these come in at 38mm, and are available either on a strap (£1,750) or a bracelet (£1,900)...

The interesting conversation around this piece is how the case will patinate over time. There is no doubt that it will, given that bronze oxidises over time and takes on notes of green and blue. I think it will be very interesting to see how that pairs with these vibrant pastel dials. I would also be interested to see how they look in the flesh, as the press photos portray them as being very bright!

Ultimately I think these watches look brilliant, and if Oris ever comes out with them in a steel case they will fly off the shelves. Given the recent success of the aforementioned OP 36's with colourful dials, I think these are going to get snapped up for summer, so I would be quick if I were you...
